Design Tune-up

A website redesign without a website rebuild

You don't always need to overhaul your website and start again. Sometimes, to get better results from your site, you just need to reshuffle and redesign the way it looks. This service does exactly that. It takes your current website content and gives it a fresh look and a new lease of life.

How does it work?

  1. Onboarding - We work through a short questionnaire on a call to discover the project goals.
  2. Benchmarking - I run through a design analysis looking for opportunities to improve the layout and page flow to align with the pre-defined goals.
  3. Strategy - I produce a strategy document outlining where the site is at the moment and the impact the improvements could have.
  4. Design - I design the new pages in Figma and share for feedback and approval.
  5. Development - I implement the updates in the WordPress theme.
  6. Offboarding - I deliver a final document outlining the changes made to the design and how the client can measure the success of the changes.

What results can I expect?

This service is designed to transform your website into a polished, professional, and trustworthy representation of your business. Lot’s of small businesses get started with a low-cost website that looks good but has an amateurish air to it. Very often, they think that to improve requires a whole revamp. This is rarely the case.
In the design tune-up we take your existing website and and transform it into the best version of itself. We take the style, add consistency and polish to give a new, more professional look. We take the content and layout and restructure it for better communication, improved user experience, and increased likelihood of conversions.

What makes this worth the investment?

Your website is the digital face of your business. In most cases it will be prospective customers’ first impression of your business. A professional and polished website with clear communication will leave a lasting positive impression on potential customers. It is never easy to put a number on design ROI, it is clear that a website that looks inconsistent, untidy, and has unclear messaging will always have a negative impact on your relationship with potential customers.

What are the risks?

Every project begins with a full backup of your website so you can always revert if needed. Changes are tested on a development version of your site before going live to avoid downtime. The improvements are based on established design and usability principles, so there’s no guesswork or unnecessary risk to your business.

Is there a next step after the project finishes?

Depending on your needs, there is an opportunity for ongoing work in the future. We offer a CRO retainer that helps websites that meet the minimum traffic requirement optimise their website’s conversion rate. A higher conversion rate means more sales and higher revenue. For those that do not meet the traffic threshold, I offer a SEO tune-up to help them grow their organic website traffic.
