Redesign your website without losing your content and starting from scratch.

You don't need to rebuild your website to give it a fresh look that you can be proud of.

If you feel ashamed of your website and avoid showing it to people if you can, you might think your only way out is an expensive rebuild. You're wrong. I designed this service to give your site a fresh look without starting from scratch.

In my Design Tune-up service I use your existing website content and rework it around your brand and modern design trends to give your site a fresh look. There's no extra input from you, and nothing new for you to learn. Just a website you are proud to share.

How does your Design Tune-up project work?

  1. Discovery - we start with a call where you walk me through your website, your brand, and your customers. You tell me where you feel the site is letting you down. This becomes the brief.
  2. Design - I redesign the site in Figma and share it with you for feedback. We go through two rounds of revisions so you're happy with the direction before anything gets built.
  3. Build - once you've approved the design, I build it into your site.
  4. Launch and Support - your updated site goes live. You get one month of post-launch support so you're not left to figure things out alone.

Frequently Asked Questions about Design Tune-up projects

What results can I expect from a Design Tune-up?

This service is designed to transform your website into a polished, professional, and trustworthy representation of your business. Lot’s of small businesses get started with a low-cost website that looks good but has an amateurish air to it. Very often, they think that to improve requires a whole revamp. This is rarely the case.
In the design tune-up we take your existing website and and transform it into the best version of itself. We take the style, add consistency and polish to give a new, more professional look. We take the content and layout and restructure it for better communication, improved user experience, and increased likelihood of conversions.

What makes a Design Tune-up worth the investment?

Your website is the digital face of your business. In most cases it will be prospective customers’ first impression of your business. A professional and polished website with clear communication will leave a lasting positive impression on potential customers. It is never easy to put a number on design ROI, it is clear that a website that looks inconsistent, untidy, and has unclear messaging will always have a negative impact on your relationship with potential customers.

What are the risks with a Design Tune-up?

Every project begins with a full backup of your website so you can always revert if needed. Changes are tested on a development version of your site before going live to avoid downtime. The improvements are based on established design and usability principles, so there’s no guesswork or unnecessary risk to your business.

Is there a next step after the Design Tune-up finishes?

Depending on your needs, there is an opportunity for further growth after the Design Tune-up finishes. We monitor the site after the new design launches to see people respond to it. As we acquire more data, we may spot opportunities to further optimise and enhance the website.

Does the Design Tune-up align with your brand?

Understanding your brand and operating within it is crucial to the success of your Design Tune-up. Many website are built using templates that don't align with a brand. Design Tune-up case study: Headshot Photographer

A laptop showing the Headshot Photographer website home page

In 2026, Headshot Photographer wanted a new website to match their updated branding. They had invested a lot in SEO but felt the design of their site let them down. They wanted a unique, fresh, and brand-led website design to help double-down on their SEO success.

The old design lacked personality and energy. The website copy did most of the heavy lifting without much of Headshot Photographer's work on show.

We used a dark grey to add contrast between the images and the background and bring attention to Headshot Photographer's work. We also reworked the typography, spacing, and layout to bring attention to key areas of content. All this while staying aligned with their new brand guidelines.
